Body Treatments
Leg Vein Treatment (Sclerotherapy)
Superficial leg veins are common among men and women and may be hereditary. In fact, it is estimated that at least half of the adult female population has leg veins. Leg veins can be treated easily and effectively with sclerotherapy. More economical than lasers, and effective for varicose veins of all sizes, sclerotherapy treatment reduces or eliminates leg veins in about four to six weeks. You’ll see results immediately!
Skin Cancer
Skin cancer most often results from prolonged sun exposure without proper protection. Tanning beds, another source of ultraviolet radiation, are also a contributing factor in the development of skin cancer. Once skin cancer has been detected, it can be treated by surgical removal.
Prevention is an important element in skin cancer treatment. Some of the most basic recommendations include: wearing a sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher on a daily basis and every two hours when in direct sunlight, avoiding the sun between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., wearing a large brim hat, and getting an annual skin examination by a dermatologist. Today’s protection prevents tomorrow’s sunspots, wrinkles, and even cancer.
Scar Revisions
Many factors determine the severity of scarring: the size of a wound, its depth, the blood supply to the area, and skin tone. Surgery cannot completely remove a scar, but the appearance of most scars can be greatly improved. Scar revision is a surgical procedure used to improve the appearance of scars that do not respond to cortisone drugs, steroids, or skin gels. Several techniques are available, including excision and laser treatment.
Wart, Mole and Cyst Removal
Warts, moles, and cysts can be removed quickly and easily using surgical techniques.
